Today a number of our team participated in the Mari 5km Runing With Frogmen Event (Τρέχω με τους ΟΥΚ), in memory of all those who lost their lives in the naval base explosion in July 2011. The race takes place at the naval base and several of the local running clubs come out to support this event, and Limassol Lizards is one of them!
Overall we had some great results, with our coach Christopher Boast coming in 2nd place overall in the Mens 5km (after a year’s absence from competition!) and our athlete Andriana Koumbari coming in 3rd place in the Womens 5km.
Also in the young age categories, our athlete Irene Christou came first in her age group for the 5km Girls and Chara Louca also came 3rd in her age category. Well done to everyone who participated in this special event!
