After leaving Cyprus two years ago to move back to the UK, Alicia was already a promising athlete despite her young age. Coming back this year to follow her dream with the Limassol Lizards she has achieved a new PB and is back on track!
It wasn’t an easy ride as she had to overcome injuries, mental blocks, study through her A levels and in general get herself into running mode every day.
On 7th May 2022, Alicia competed in the 3000m race in the U20 International Athletics competition and competed against athletes from Cyprus, Israel and Romania at Tsirio stadium. Despite being a very young competitor, she came 3rd, smashed her personal best with 10:36, coming only 2 seconds behind 2nd place!
Well done to Alicia – she is a great example for the whole team and especially for smaller Lizards that follow.
